Driver comes out of windshield (obviously not strapped in) and survives.

 

First they both look like amateurs in that they can't hold a straight line. Two, how could he have raced without a harness on to begin with. Isn't there are safety inspection before they let the cars out on the track. Out here at Sears Point they would have open track during the summer to race your car in the 1/4 mile. They look you over before you can drive on their track.

 

According to the comments section on YouTube, the driver states that his harness bolts pulled out of the floor. Obviously not installed properly. So, points for having a harness, demerits for not doing it right. On the balance he's lucky to be alive.
