Exactly how I see it. I HATE to buy the crap but what choice do we have? Some things we need to function and quality is a must.

Some of the guys that I used to work with have told me that they can't even try to weld the Chinese "steel" that the company has purchased. It just sublimes, turns into nothing, as soon as it get hot enough.

It is misleading & underhanded if it's not illegal.

Actually, the tide has been starting to turn. More things are being produced, or being planned on being produced back in the US instead of importing them.

The success of the Chinese has raised the standard of living and wages so the transit is starting to eat into the profits and the need it now mentality has more folks looking to build here at home.

A few weeks ago I replaced my front calipers with Advance Auto 'remans'. On my first trip I came back with one Mexican reman and one Chinese brand new (didn't notice it at the time). Mexican reman was genuine Ford casting and went on fine. Opened the second box and found shiny new Chinese (not thrilled on that find) and when I went to insert the springs into the casting I found that the Chinee forgot to machine the casting and the springs would not fit. Fortunately they had another Mexican one in stock so I traded it in. I suppose I could have cut right to the chase and gotten genuine Ford products but figured the price would be outrageous. Plus Advance Auto keeps better hours than Ford does.

Alot of the motorcraft parts I purchased for my V10 were made in Mexico. Still works though. Sucks to hear about the inferior chinese products we keep getting stuck with.

Just received new hubs for the F350. MotorCraft. Made in China marked on the box. Mistake? Or should I use them and worry that they are going to leave me on the side of the road? Or should I say, "On the side of the road AGAIN"? The factory original hubs did that once. The NAPA replacements lasted 125+ K Miles and are only getting replaced as part of a broader front end project. Dang.

I have been using rockauto for tons of my stuff lately. Saved quite a bit of money if you don't have to have the part same day.
Good news is that motocraft water pump Eye started. This thread about is still on that truck. I didn't ever expect it to last as long as it has.
. Ask for your dilemma. Run them and wait til you need new ones again. Least you will have piece of my knowing that they are genuine ford
