I'll check into that eastwood. Was just reading up on it, sounds like it'll work. Not sure if any local places sell that here (napa, advanced, autozone, etc), but im sure they sell other brands. Any brands you have good experience/results with? I see west marine sells one called CRC. I want ro try and find a good product locally so I can start today on getting it coated.

I'm not concerned with it being perfect or pretty as its just a beater work truck that I'm not worried about it getting scratched up, but I want to make it last me for years to come, so I dont have to buy another truck later on.

What do you guys think about doing a 12ft long bed? I can extend and reinforce the rear of the frame, but how far past the axle can I go safely? If I do that, and I ever have something really heavy like a pallet or something, id be sure to keep it over the axle, but it would be nice have a 7 x 12 flat bed. If anything I'll run 10' and only extend it a little bit past the rear bumper
