Planning my Sixlitre tune, opinions appreciated
So I'm going to do the Sixlitre tune soon and want to know what you guys think of my parts choice. This is going in my 5.8L, and I'm basing my work off of the FSB thread: ignition upgrade and timing bump (no 56K) - FSB Forums
Coil: MSD Street Fire 5527 48,000 V
Cap and rotor: MSD 8482
Wires: MSD Street Fire 5540 8.0mm
Plugs: Autolite Copper 25
Gotta keep it tidy and matching: Summit red spark plug wire seperators
After this, I plan on getting some GT40 heads, headers and exhaust, and possibly a cam. I'd like to do a MAF conversion at some point but I'm not sure I want to go through the trouble with that project. I'm not necessarily looking for more power, but I do want to improve deficiencies. I understand the ignition and head/exhaust upgrades are very beneficial to our trucks in that aspect.
I'm excited to start the tune. My only concern right now is the straight boot on the spark plug wires. Does anyone know if that would be a problem after switching to headers? They're not expensive to replace, but I like to do the right thing the first time.
Questions? Comments?

I would skip the coil. The OEM coil gets the job done just as well as any fancy aftermarket one. If you go to the last few pages of that thread you linked, most of the guys there agree. I have that same cap and rotor and I like them. I have no experience with those wires, so I can't comment on those.
