05 Expy no a/c

A/C stopped working. No clutch engagement when a/c is called for. Opened relay box and pulled out what looked like a fuse (no amperage rating). Infinite resistance over it. Check voltage at terminal with and without a/c button depressed. No voltage that I could find. Any suggestions? Symbol on what i pulled out looked like this ->|

Also, how do you remove the relays and test them?

I believe that is the Diode symbol. It should allow power/voltage one way, but not in opposite direction.

Yep, you're right. It's a diode. That explains the wonky meter readout. Does anyone have a pic of which diode in that box is the right one? I can't find my damn manual.

The diode is there to prevent electrical spikes when the coil is de-energized, it serves no other purpose. No power on the A/C circuit can simply mean you're low on refrigerant and the low pressure cutout safety switch has kicked in.
