Opinions about a used diesel

Used 2004 Ford F-250 For Sale in Memphis, TN | 500136A | 1FTNW20P94ED50166 | Used Car Dealer Serving Olive Branch, MS, Collierville, TN

I was looking at some classifieds and I know to be apprehensive about the 6.0 but I'm wondering if this is a good deal and if so what red flags should I look out for?

This is another one I'm looking at, one thing I'd want is to get different seats than the bench seat.

6.0s are good but only after you spend about 5 grand on them. Consider that with the cost of the truck. They also sell for significantly less than another brand of diesel truck. Personally, I'd take a 6.0 over a 7.3 any day, but that's just an opinion. I'd also take the 6.0 over a Duramax or Cummins....

The 2001 is extremely low miles. I wouldn't shy away from the 6.0 either. The 6.0 is priced high in my opinion, especially being a 2 wheel drive.

I would go down to the forums for each one of these trucks and read about each engine...maintenance, reliability and value.

Then I would make an offer on the 7.3. The low mileage on this truck makes it
harder to negotiate on. Just see how bad they want to sell it. Personally, I would not buy a diesel without 4 WD.

Good luck,

I wasn't sure on the price. I've been on autotrader but most of the f250s that aren't expensive or have 300,000 miles are a good distance away. I've been reading the pros and cons of each engine. I checked on insurance, a 2001 f250 crew cab 2wd would be the same insurance as my 2000 f150 super cab.
