Clogged Radiator Help

Hey guys, first off thanks to everyone for the help with my overheating problem on my 2000 ex. after a new water pump, new thermostat it still overheats. Right now the ex is waiting to be trailored back to sc from fl, had no choice, ran out of time, now, with all that said aside from a new radiator or having a shop clean it what do you guys suggest, a little history, i did a 3 day clean and flush about 4 months ago so theres a good chance that there is a bunch of crap stuck. Any suggestions????

7.3? 6.0? V10? 5.4?

Regardless, you should, pull the radiator, take it to a local radiator shop, and have them inspect and if necessary clean it.

I went back and looked at the original thread to save time and it is a 6.8.

When you did your clean and flush, was it one of those home remedy type chemical flushes? or did you actually have the system power flushed (back flushed). most times your city water connection does not have the oomph to flush anything larger than a Civic radiator. I would start with a real flush, otherwise pull the rad and have it checked, but sometimes that costs more than a new rad these days.

Archion, ya it was prestone or peak in the driveway, cant remember the brand, I can get a new rad for $225 just dont have it to spare right now, was thinking about sealing the lower outlet and filling the rad from the upper with a couple bottles of flush and water and letting it sit for a few hours, or possibly vinigear, i know its acidic but mixed with hot water might clear it till I can replace it, any thoughts?
