Evening All!
I had a busy day today, but I still didn't get everything done that I wanted to. As I said, the '48 F-1 is back in the shop. I got the last of Jerry's stuff returned to the car lot and dropped off my key. I stopped by O'Reily and dropped off the info to start up Performance Inc's commercial account. While I was there, I got a job building a small light bar for some off road lights in one of the salesman's Chevy truck grill. He didn't want to drill mounting holes in his bumper, so I made a light bar that bolts to bumper mounting holes and has a cross bar to mount all the lights. (cat eye type lights) Then I got our $20 yard sale lawn mower running. It cost me $2 and and an hour and a half of fabrication.
The kill switch lever and cable were broken on the lawn mower when we got it. SO, ...I made a new mechanism for it.
When you want to run it, you pull the lever over and swing the catch into place like this.
Then when you want to shut it off, simply flip the catch straight up like this.
The $250 push mower I got from Race Brothers lasted one season before the crank shaft bent and broke the block. They were going to charge me $25 to look at it and tell me it wasn't covered under warranty. For $22, I got a lawnmower that works great.

RC, training will start a week from today, and it will go 17 days. That will have me trained to their specs. Not sure if that is 17 days in a row or if the are excluding weekends or what. Not sure.
Then I have to tour each facility and then I can work for the big $. Hopefully anyway. I've never been hired while a background is still going on. Makes me nervous. 90 day probation.

WELL GOOD MORNING THERE BOYS, from my kitchen table in the good ol state of Missouri.
Ended up being a 1 taxi, 4 airplane ride, and another hr drive to the house (thank you Penny ) Ended being a 27 1/2 hr trip from hell, but none the less I am home.
I have to get over the jet lag quick, cause I have to take the grandson back home later on this evening. But not after his bronco ride some time today.
Sounds like all is well on the FTE Mo chapter home front.

Good Morning Everybody!
RC. I'll be at the shop today pretty much all day except for lunch. Take your time unloading. There's no rush.
Rich. Woo Hoo! Glad you made it home safe. Since my schedule just got a whole lot more flexible, let me know when and where you need me.
Jeff. That's great news. I hope everything goes smoothly from here.
Chip. Good morning to you, too!
I'm already tapering off my anti-death pills for my colitis. It's amazing how fast I get better not having to deal certain people.

RICH!!!!
Glad to see that you are home again.
Just checking in, SSDD here. But we did finish with the house in Durham this last Saturday, empty, cleaned, mowed, trimmed etc. Hopefully we'll get our full deposit money back
Chicking has been covered with a good dry rub and heading for the grill shortly, chased by a couple/few cold ones
Unk Bob
