RC. The original version of Gone in 60 seconds had Eleanor as a '73 Mach 1. The one with Nick Cage was actually a remake.

actually, if you look closely, I haven't touched either of those bottles of **** creek... That one half empty though, Woodford Reserve I have recently partaken of... good stuff. I'm a beer guy normally, but I drink a glass of bourbon when the wife wants to drink wine, Or when its time to party... That Captain, whew, we (the Captain and I) had a disagreement last time I opened that one...prolly a year ago.

Thanks for the nod on the concrete bar I am proud of it as well as the 4-plug-in outlet on the bottom right of the bar - Got its own breaker... I can run 4 Crock pots with 4 different cheeses/chili etc at one time.

Unk Bob, I don't know you sir, but happy birthday! Hope it was a good one.

Yessir RC, the real Gone in 60 Seconds was released when you were just a youth...in 74. I understand your confusion seeins how you're too young to remember it. Heck you might have been over in that furrin country then.

Good Morning Everybody!

I got that bumper cover fixed, primed and painted last night. I thought the silver was going to lay alright, but when the clear hit it, I got some tiger stripes in the base. I may just have to break down and buy a modern gun that can shoot this ultra fine metallic and pearl. My gun is just too big for it. I have to spray too many dry coats from 18" away to get silvers to lay half decent. Anyway, I hope it's just my over critical eye under fluorescent lights, and it'll look ok out in the sun. Otherwise, I'll have to reshoot it next week. ....at least the damage is fixed and I can just scuff and shoot it if I have to.

Alan, I spray all but the bass boatiest metallics with a 1.0 to 1.4 tip through an HVLP or RP gravity feed gun. The bass boat flake gets sprayed with an old borrowed Binks gun with agitator. I also spray each coat at 45 degrees to the prior and end with a drop coat. I always use activator in metallic base coat, it lets the metallic lay a lot better than just using the reducer. This is probably all basic to you.

Yeah. I've been using Full base from Dupont. It's already thin so I don't use reducer at all. It IS a catalyzed base coat, so it usually lays out nice. I only have trouble with pearl white and silvers. There's just something about those colors that my gun hates. I use an old siphon feed Binks made for Mac tools. So I'm behind the times regardless.

Fine if we are going to talk confusing work stuff, here is what I was working on today and I hate paperwork.

And if you look close, the model/brand of that vehicle is PICKUP. It looked like a ugly 4 door something with a bed. Spotted it on the way to the hotel, I was laughing to hard to get a better pic.

Them planes with the oddly located propellers must be interesting to fly. Alan, I believe I get a better finish spraying with my old Model 7 siphon feed.
