New carb spitting gas

I'm new to the forum realm. Tried doing a search with no avail. I recently bought a 1967 Ford F100 300/4.9l. Old carb float was stuck and didn't feel like a rebuild so I bought new. New carb sprays fine mist if fuel out the top.
Did not have the problem with old carb but was bottle feed due to vanish in tank.

Is it carb adjustment related or too much fuel pressure. Looks like original fuel pump.

Thanks in advance for any help

When does it spray this fine mist? When moving the throttle? When idling? When shutting the engine off? Etc.

It happens both idling and when throttle is applied. Engine also sounds like it is loading up with fuel.
Definitely seems carb related since old one carb it didn't happen
I have photo but don't know how to upload it

It definitely happens at idle more and not so much at high idle speeds. Gas is coming from small orfice it back of throat on passenger side

Sounds like the needle and seat not closeing when it's supposed to. I think you ought to take that rebuilt carb back to where you bought it. If you can't, get a carb kit and a new float. Put 'em in.
