From Bogger to Mega Truck

Some of you probably remember my mud truck build 4 years ago. It's done very well and has been nearly unbeatable in 44' and up dot classes in northern Indiana & southern Michigan since I built it. Time to change things up, I'm turning it into a mega truck. I attached some pics of the progress over the last 2 months. Built the first set of shock mounts today, it will be racing in the throttle king series at the Indy Jamboree in 3 weeks. About the truck- 557 roller motor, C6 with all the good stuff & billet hubs, Air shifter, SCS drop box, 2.5 tons with chromoly shafts, billet hubs, custom wheels, 14.9x24 tires, 20'' Overtime CNC shocks, PSC hydro steering, triangulated 4 link & probably some more stuff I forgot to mention.

What?!

Progress looks good. BUT it's too tall IMO.

More progress... No nitrogen in shocks yet, but at least it's sitting on it's own weight.

That's crazy when a tire can make a Rockwell look small!

What company makes those wheels?

Looks like there is very little "spoke" attached to the hub, or is the back

section of the wheel one piece?

Other than that, keep up the hard work!

Nice!

What's the weight savings of the billet vs. the iron hubs?

2" axle shafts?

I'll be doctoring those ugly bolts up . The wheels were built by chopfab in florida, the guy is a real douchebag but he did a good job on the wheels. The back side is all one laser cut piece of 1/4'' plate, then the front pieces were welded in. The billet hubs are 37 llbs lighter than the stock ones, that's 74 llbs off each axle. Hope to share some holeshot video's by Wednesday.
