hello my throttle body on my 1993 F 150 302 is worn out I would like to get a new one but a Ford one cost about $500 has anyone else ever bought something cheaper that worked great

 

BBK throttle body can be purchased for around $250-300. I got mine on Ebay 4 years ago used for $267.

 

How's the bbk holding up

 

Great! It hasn't let me down and the quality is top notch. The only complaint I had was the coolant tubes. They aren't bent correctly for use on our trucks and they advise you that if you damage them, they won't honor your warranty. They do tell you that you can use a small socket and gently bend them in the direction you need, but is the lower tube you need to bend. I tried the slow way with socket, but it didn't want to go. I just eliminated the coolant tube and to this day, no problems.

If you haven't tampered with your Throttle stop screw on the old tb, then it's a good time to find out what your tps voltage is now so you can set it when replace your tb.
