WOODSTOCK...45 YEARS AGO
Almost forgot about this...45 years ago a few folks had a little get together at Max Yasgur's farm. Anyone here remember it??? Any one here go??? Share your thoughts...if you have any.

Talk about a good idea gone bad.........
I have read Max's farm was pretty much ruined after that mess, that he suffered financially from the fallout of clean up costs and other losses associated with the concert.
Those were times that are a bit tough to define unless you lived back then---even at that though the USA was going through such huge changes your region might have affected how much you experienced or witnessed.
I was alive but wasn't there---heard about it almost hourly on the local AM radio---seemed pretty unreal so far away.

It was my era. I had just turned 16 and was into Rock & Roll. I still have the album and a CD collection. But, I had never heard of Country Joe McDonald and the Fish and Richie Havens didn't mean much to me. But, I was already a fan of must of the other groups.
It was/is not only a HUGE part of US history but, of our cultural revolution.
A confusing time for a 16 year old Texas kid that found himself thrust into Eastern Ohio. I never was a doper but, drank more than my share of Annie Green Springs Apple Wine, Boones Farm and good ol' Southern Comfort.
A hell of a time and thank goodness I was a young man when the young ladies decided to shed rid of those over the shoulder bolder holders....
Music was great for a rocker...

I was 19 and a college student. Live in the area where NY-PA-NJ merge. We, four of us, tried to go but the roads were all blocked by those who just left their cars and walked. Too many people on a parcel that was too small and unprepared for the onslaught of youth, drugs, and sex! BTW, my buddy made it the second day: no bathrooms, no real food left, and they brought in helicopters with orange juice for the masses. $5 a quart....
