OT - Would you want this guy working on your truck?

I am constantly amused by folks on CL...here is the latest example of "truth in advertising": mobile mechanic 12 yrs experience

Heck, you should see some of the guys around here who work on cars. Lol. I bet that ad gets him business. His ASE Certified patch is under the "I'm with stupid".

Im no mobile mechanic, but if I were I think I would first bring something to provide shade, the sun exposure may explain the T shirt.

There is a book that explains the value of punctuation. I think it's meant for kids, but this guy never read it. The book's title is 'Eats, Shoots and Leaves'. The author was using an example from a student's report on the diet of the Giant Panda. The CL mobile guy could still be a decent mechanic, but his ad is horrendous.

The ad leaves a lot to be desired but I appreciate that the guy wants to work and is exercising some initiative. Hopefully his mechanical skills far exceed his command of grammar and sentence construction.

If you look at his actual ad he's holding the hood open on a corvette that has no motor in it!! Easy to work on at a good rate!!

This guy might be a great mechanic but first impressions are important. He should have taken the time to write a properly written ad. It was kind of hard to understand what he was actually trying to convey.

I hope they introduce him to commas, periods and capital letters before he finishes that school.

Luckily for him, the younger generation doesn't use (or know) commas, periods, or capital letters with the advent of texting and tweeting.

My biggest pet peeve is using THEN and THAN incorrectly....drives me crazy. Just read the sentence. It makes no sense when they are swapped.
