Any inherent problems with the 3.0 in 2003 that I should look at/for on a 89k truck I'm looking at.........also, whats a ballpark $$ on a NEAR MINT 4door Supercab 2wd model loaded?? Thanks Guys!!

Love my 2004 EDGE. Only thing I'd change is I'd like a 4.0L. This is my fourth Ranger. Kelly Blue Book . com or NADA for value. Enjoy.

 

Is a typical '03 Ranger underpowered with the 3.0 for normal use?

 

Is this a flex fuel 3.0L???? The pushrod Vulcan 3.0L was nicknamed the 3-Slow, but it'll run forever with the specified fluids on Fords scheduled maintenance call outs.

 

-Haven't seen the truck in person yet. So the flex-fuel 3.0 is better/more powerful than the standard NON-flex-fuel engine?

 

No, the flex fuel 3.0L is not better or more powerful, just more electronics & difference in fuel system components & seal materials, spark plugs, to be able to use up to E-85 fuel.
Edit: Seeing as how your in the flat lands of Florida, the 3.0L Vulcan power shouldn't be a big concern, unless you intend to often tow, or haul big loads in southern state hills, or for long runs on the interstate. Do you know what tranny & differential it has????
