7-Pin Connector Location

I bought one of these so I can have a 7-pin connector in the bed of my truck: Pollak 5th Wheel / Gooseneck T-Connector with 7-Pole - Ford, GM, Dodge, Nissan w/ Factory Plug Pollak Custom Fit Vehicle Wiring PK11893-11932

Any advice on which of the 3 raised panels bottom driver side back of the bed I should drill the hole? I was thinking the middle one but curious if anyone has any direct experience with installing on of these. Thanks.

Here is where mine is:

Chalkie's plug mount

Picture upload gets to 99% and then just sits there, so link is what you get.

I have mine in the corner of the front of the bed, wires are simple to get to, leaves room for everything, aux fuel tanks, tool boxes ect.

That actually makes a lot of sense. Allows you to use the bed to haul loose materials without damaging the plug AND, most importantly perhaps, allows you to reach in and connect up much easier.

Mine is down low where there was more room between the inner and outer shell...
but again, as close to the back end as possible so you can reach it...

hard to plug in with the 5er there if it's too far forward

Good point. Looking at the connector I think I need to mount it low as to not have interference with the outer shell. Thanks everyone.
