(Also, these guys aren't from the south. They're from Arizona).

I would be interested in your thoughts on Frontsight. It looks interesting. My former boss and I used to discuss going to Frontsight. Their literature/blogs are good reads.
I have done some defensive handgun training at KR Training near College Station, TX. Good experience. Learned a lot at the classes.

Will do, hillcountryflt.
I can't BELIEVE the sheer amount of slot machines EVERYWHERE. I go into a 7/11 and what do I find? Slot machines. Airport? Slot machines. Hotel? Slot machines!
Turns out my dad rented an Equinox. I wasn't having any of it. I promptly held his man card hostage until he upgraded to a real car. I present to you the rent-a-whip:

I also noticed how bad the roads are. You would think with all the money being lost in that town, they might be able to fill some potholes.

My dad said they had a nickel slot machine on the diesel boat he served on. Somebody stole it from somewhere (Atlantic City?) and they kept it in the control room. Problem was, while the boat was in dry dock, a civilian contractor's wife called the base commander complaining that her husband had lost his entire paycheck playing the machine. Oops. That ended that.
