It was most likely a cab and chassis that was converted by a RV manufacturer and sold new as an RV.
Just like you can buy today.

I am just planning out the build so I don't have pictures of the actual truck/rv.
Its not the exact truck but the camper is the same, I know the truck is a 1966 F250, but the the camper was installed in 1972. Also I know it was dealer installed because my father is the original owner.

Factory installed and dealer installed are two different animals.
Now if you have the original invoice from the dealer showing that the F250 and camper were bought new at the dealer that is a rare find. IMO it doesn't increase the value, its just a nice piece of paper to frame.
As few of those that are still around why not keep it intact?

Yes it was kept on a Ford lot for 4 years before being sold to Mitchell RV and then it was kept in storage for 3 more years before it was sold to my dad.

I have to ask, why take it apart, that's pretty awesome? If ya want a pickup why not just get a pickup?

Thats exactly it except mine has the Bronco's paint job: and to answer your question I alreaddy have a Mazda B2000 but who doesn't want a 1966 F250, I prefer an engine that wont steal power by having to run an ECM, and a body and chassis that wont melt in the sun.

Not sure how an ECM steals power.
ci for ci, computer controlled engines make better power, require less maintenance, and get better economy.
The 2014 Mustang 5.0 puts out 420 net hp and 390 ft lbs of torque. No factory carbed normally aspirated 5.0 engine ever offered by any manufacturer comes even close to those numbers, and its all thanks to the ECM. Even the mighty 440 didn't put out that much hp from the factory.
