Cab Floor Heating Up

Cab Floor Heating Up
Got a 2005 F-550 XL 6.0L Diesel with approx 177000 miles. The guy's in the field are complaining the floor heats up to unbearable temperatures. Most of the heat is coming through the trans shifter boot.
I brought it in a little over a month ago and replaced both right & left exhaust inlets since they were cracked. I replaced both shifter boot covers since they were melted. Took it for a couple test drives and couldn't get it to heat up to unbearable temperatures. So I sent it back out. I didn't hear any more complaints until now.
The guy's are saying it's as hot as hell in the cab. The engine runs cool since the cooling components have been recently replaced. All the fluids in the Trans & Transfer Case are up to par.
I have not been able to take an extended look at it since the second round of complaints have been coming in since the truck is out of state for a bit.
I would like to know if any of you have heard of the cab floors heating up on my problem child. What did you do to correct it?

Many years ago I put fiber carpet backing and carpet in the cab of a truck and it helped with heat and noise.
Now you can get heat reflective/sound deadening material.
