What was wrong with it?
I've slacked off on the mowing here, but it's been raining so much or hotter than Hell out...
I did get a good chunk of it done today. Maybe finish the rest tomorrow...Just depends on what my back says.

The rear axle was bent and I didn't want to spend the money for a new housing. After 3 months, a local salvage yard came up with one. After replacing it, the vibration still didn't go away. I bought some centramatics and installed them and that cut down the vibration considerably. I may still replace the back rims as they are bent, and I'm sure that's where the vibration is coming from. What I have found out in the past with other trucks I have owned is that the bent rims never showed up in vibration. I'm guessing it's the low profile 19.5 tires, and the fact they're really stiff compared to the 16 inch tires I've had on most of my other trucks. I owned a 1992 GMC 3500HD that also had the 19.5 tires. It was a rough riding truck, but not the vibration.
Also, I didn't have the time to do everything to it that I want to do. I had a little free time these past couple weeks so I got the stuff done I wanted to do. I still have some wiring to do with work lights. Actually, the backup lights don't work, so I'm going to wire them separate to a switch in the cab and that way they can be used as backup lights when I need them, along with work lights too. I also want to install a backup alarm, which will need its own switch too.

Most places are more than willing for you to drive 45 miles each way, per day to work 5 hours. Pathetic.

Personally, I never got the pleasure to meet Steve in real life, but boy was he an amazing forum moderator!
To be honest, Steve was just the type of guy that you didn't have to meet him to feel like a good friend to him; His personality just made you feel welcome and like you'd known each other forever.
