I end up naming all the Trucks that come into my dad's and my possession, because you can't just say "the F250". that doesnt' work when you have like 5 F250's
here are some of the names in our fleet of over a dozen trucks
Shorty ( the truck in my profile picture)
Silver
Black and Silver
Brutus
Clyde
Red and White
Big Red Dually
Little Red
Red Six (we have had a lot of red trucks)
Farm Truck
The Bootlegger's Deluxe
The Brick
There have been others, but thats a list of notable ones that are in the fleet now. The rules are that if the truck is bought for parts, we refer to it by the previous owner's name ( benny Truck, Kraminga Truck, Schnittger Truck, etc) But once we have them as a running driving truck in our fleet, they get a name within the first month or so. I just got a new truck, i'm still pondering a name for that one...

Bootlegger's situation reminds me of a friend of mine back in high school. He started dating a girl named Julie. Then his brother started dating a different Julie, so their mom called them Julie #1 and Julie #2. Then my friend broke up with Julie #1 and started dating, you guessed it, Julie #3. I don't know how she felt being 3rd fiddle to the brother's girlfriend as well as an ex!

I have a 1989 f150 that started life with a 300 i6 I bought it from a school district in 09 had 127,000 on it. I've always called it the beast because it really is that truck would do anything pull anybody. But eventually the 300 gave up and died. So I got a 306 that was in a 70 mustang and put that in. And then it was a different kind of beast. After that it got its other nickname "the grey ghost" which some buddies of mine named it because I put it in a 10' deep hole one night (long story) and because it was just always dying with that 306 that eventually cracked the block. Now it's black with yellow rims because I'm a steelers fan and it has a 89 gt 5.0 h.o with a weiand stealth intake 600 Cfm eddy custom exhaust and other wise bone stock. My kids love riding in it. Although the wife not so much lol she's not a fan of the 2 windows down 50 mph a/c system. It's still called the beast but my buddies always say it will forever be "the grey ghost"
