59 f100 cranks but won't turn over
Hey all I'm new to the Ford community and my knowledge might not be as vast as some of yours but I'm open to all ideas, please forgive me if I get confused haha here's my problem I have a 59 f100 barn find only surface rust. I bought it and watched the guy turn it over and it started and stayed running. It sat in my driveway for about a year before I tried to turn her over and now she cranks but won't turn over. Initially I thought it was the distributor and ignition coil so I rebuilt the distributor and got a new coil. Replaced the battery all that nonsense after that I checked the voltage and I get around 12 volts at the battery which is what it's supposed to be and 12 at the distributor, but only 6 at the ignition coil and the ignition switch, I'm lost and I'm out of ideas please help!

As you need both spark and fuel, a few simple checks. As you have been working on the spark, find a spark plug (or remove one) and connect one of the spark plug wires to it, ground it to the block, and crank. If you see spark, you have spark. If not, check that the points are not oxidized and that the condenser is good (as there is a resistor in the ignition circuit, voltage at the coil will be less than 12 volts).
Next simple test is to check for fuel. With the air cleaner off, look down the carburetor throat and open the throttle wide open and let it close. When opening there should be a spray of fuel from the accelerator pump. If not, start investigating to find why not

When I rebuilt the distributor I put all new points cap rotor and condenser in it along with new plugs and wires and I get spark to all the plugs that being said the new fuel tank isn't hooked up and I'm running on a rebuilt Holley 1904 that I rebuilt myself I've just been dumping fuel down the carb barrel to get it to turn over probably not the best idea.

I never took the distributor out, left it in specifically so I wouldn't mess with*the timing so I just put the new points and what not into a distributor that was already in place and thanks for correcting me like I said I'm pretty new to all of this car stuff, no stranger to cracking wrenches I'm an aircraft mechanic
