As the title says. I found a ball in the fuel bowl. The truck has been apart for six months for a bit of work. I removed the fuel bowl to get at a few things. When I removed the filter to refill it a ball came up outside the filter and fell back in to the bottom. I have no idea what or where it came from. A quick glance is all I had. 1/4" diameter or so.

The truck did start up. I have not checked fuel pressure at idle but will tomorrow when I find the gauge.

 

Sounds like the check ball that goes behind the screen in the regulator, is your screen still there?

 

It seemed to be there. I looked in the side and it seemed to be. I did pull the regulator off to clean the screen. That was out of the truck on the bench. Any one have a pic of the ball and screen combo?

Thanks ford pride. It looks like i will be pulling it a part again. Unfortunately the ball does not float and I will have to disassemble the bowl in the truck.
