Does anyone use pedal extensions?

I just got my F350 XLT Crew Cab , 1995.
I am a short little shrimp, have some issues with my legs and I discovered that the position I'm in with the gas pedal is kinda awkward. I'm sorta on tiptoe you might say. I'm going to be making a couple of really long days drive soon (10 1/2 hours +) and I'm thinking perhaps pedal extensions might be a good idea.

Has anybody here had any experience with pedal extensions with these trucks?

Welcome to fte. I have no experience with pedal extensions at all. I'm pretty tall, but my sister is about 4'10 or so. She basically sits on top of the steering wheel in whatever she drives so I can see what you mean. I've had a block of wood taped to her brake pedal in her race car since she started! I don't know if there is a good solution for you or not. I wish I could help you more, but here is a bump up top.

I am a big guy and don't need them, but it would be pretty simple to make some.

just get some pedals and cut the arm off .

You will need 2 pedal per extension.

Take the rubber cover off the pedal in the truck

Then lay one of the donor pedals on top of the trucks pedal. Vise grip in place.
Drill 4 holes(one in each corner) and bolt the one pedal on top of the original.

Then tak another pedal and weld one 1" tubing to the bottom of it for what ever length riser you need.

unbolt the pedal you just bolted to the original.

Weld your extension pedal to the one with the 4 holes.

After all the welding is down, you can bolt the riser/extension to the original.

Very safe(will not roll out in an emergency) and completely removable for taller people

Sounds like a good idea...I'll have to see if I can find somebody to do the welding for me, inexpensively
Thanks!
