99 f250 5.4 pulling to the right randomly?

Im stumped on this issue. Im slowly discovering things that need fixing, but it's not my daily so its not too critical.

Its done this 3 or 4 times now. Driving and it starts pulling to the righ pretty bad, almost like if the front passenger tire was messed up or something. Today it did it, after I let it sit for a few min, then drove back to the house, it drove straight. Also, when it pulls to the right, its very sluggish, as if I'm pulling a very heavy load. From a stop, it doesn't even go until I hit the gas, and at that its very sluggish, sorts feels like if you drive off and forget the ebrake is on.

Also ive noticed some burning on the passenger side which I've read is probably the head gasket. I can see the oil dripping on the exhaust, causing the smoke.

also, my CEL just came on, with code P0401 "powertrain exhaust gas recirculation flow insufficient detected"

recently changed the plugs because it was running and idling a little rough, which the new plugs helped out.

At this point in wondering if the pulling issue could be something with the brakes, when I'm driving, it sounds like something is rubbing, I haven't looked at the brakes yet but I'm likely going to do new pads and rotors all around soon anyways.

Be prepared for calipers too. Also check the condition of the brake lines, not for the pulling but for rot or rust.

Is there anyway to troubleshoot them to see if a particular caliper is bad, or should I just start by replacing the rotors and pads and then see how it goes?

I would remove the caliper and see if you can compress the pistons. I bet they are seized up.

Replace calipers in pairs anyway. Replace brake hoses also. I would do it sooner rather than later.

F9 Cardone?

May work better than what you have.

Can you afford something a little better?

Advance Auto Parts has almost continuous sales with 20% or more off and many times throw in free shipping.

Another avenue is rockauto.com as they have great prices, but many times the shipping is the show-stopper.

Finally - check out Amazon.com ... I buy a lot through them as well..

If my local parts store was really in business to see to my needs, I would buy from them - but when their prices are as much as double what I can purchase for online, well.......

So the rear passenger rotor has spme type of fluid all over it. The rotor was hard to get off so it appears that this was the brake that was sticking. I'm still not sure if its break fluid or not. I haven't checked the brake fluid level, I'll do that today. Here's a few pics, im sure one of you guys will know.

Also, there's a wet spot on the concrete below the drivers side bumper. Coming from 1 or both of these lines. Not sure what is leaking.

The head gasket seems to be leaking onto the exhaust, a common problem from what I read, but I'll tackle that problem last.
