78 F100 4x4 Front Spring Housing Pic

I was creeping under my newly acquired truck and I noticed on the bottom of the spring housing where the axle bump stop bolts go there are what look to be 3 empty holes. 2 of the holes have threads in the frame. There is no bump stop in place.
What is missing and why does the bottom of the bracket look like it is pulled away from the lower part of the frame?

The picture sux, sorry.

The bottom of the spring bracket has 3 holes but only 2 are threaded at the frame. The picture is of the part of the bracket that has a gap between the bracket and the frame. The drivers side does not have any bolts on the underside but no gap either.

My Chiltons manual just refers to the axle bumper pad that goes there but nothing else..

Any ideas? Norm?

I just took a peek at my 73.. mine is flat. .. that looks like it has pulled away or has been pried on for whatever reason. Suspension-wise, the bracket goes up and is welded to the spring bucket. If it's buggin' ya then hammer it flat and throw a couple of weld bead on it.

Oh, and reinstall the bumpstop.
