FOB not entering in programming mode RAP module
I've searched and tried the cycle on-off 8 times ending in on but can't get into programming mode. I have a 2002 Eddie Bauer edition with an Automate 415 alarm/DEI remote starter. I made sure I was doing the procedure correctly by doing in on a 2005 Taurus which worked. I tried with door closed/open/hitting lock unlock first/switching lights on and then off with no luck. Today I tried to unplugged the alarm and remote start completely and still can't get into the mode. With the alarm unplugged the Expy seems to work like factory except for programming anything using relating to FOB. I even tried to enter into the programming for the memory seat position tagged to a FOB but it doesn't work.
-Can a FOB be programmed at a dealer without this method?
-Is it possible to hook up to the computer is a diagnostic tool and program FOB?
-Any other suggestions to try?
BTW, this model alarm doesn't use a separate FOB, it is made to use the factory FOB and triggers/arms via door input signal.
