Chris,

I have not fueled up yet from my recent trip, but judging on how much less the engine is working, compared to the past, I think i should be seeing better numbers. I am happy with the Atlas 40 tune, and I have an SCT programmer coming later this week. I am going to see how the stock SCT tunes work, prior to buying custom ones for my Ex.

All in all, it has been lots of little things, some cash that will be hard to make up in fuel savings, but the engine seems happier for all the work, and that is a win in my book.

If you ever make it down this way, give me a shout, we can meet up and compare rigs. I have already seen yours, but I am always happy to show off mine.

Nice, I'd like to see your EX. The wife just ran down to Beaverton last week, but I had to work. Astoria is still a little bit of a drive, but a run to the Oregon coast is always a good idea.

You know that's a good question. I changed the element when I first got the truck about a year and a half ago, and I'm currently away from my baby, so I cannot check the book or the element. At the time it didn't really click that it wasn't the correct air box, but about six months ago it was brought to my attention. Not sure if it's good, bad, or a wash but the turbo inlet looks good with 155k on the truck. So, I deduce that it is protecting the turbo from grit.

Edit: just checked my post on the Visteon thread, and it was a year ago, not 6 months. Where has the time gone?

Here's some truck nuts I put on my friends Dodge when he wasn't looking. He found no humor...
