I plan on splicing in the cat-back portion of a 96 PSD ECLB exhaust into my 89 7.3 IDI N/A RCLB truck, and could use some advice, and some confirmation on some things.

1. I understand the exhaust is 2.5" in the main section of exhaust on the IDI before the muffler, and the Powerstroke Exhaust is 3.5" throughout the entire length beyond the cat? correct me if this is wrong.

2. the hangers are in similar or the same positions? again, correct me if wrong.

3. flat stainless band clamps "easyseal by ROL exhaust" will hold up to being used before and after the exhaust reducer/adapter needed to connect the two sections? welding is always an option as well. correct me if wrong
