My latest PSD project

I haven't been around much lately because I've been BUSY having fun building cool 7.3 trucks for a living. These are wrecks/burns/flood/etc that I take apart and build a truck out of. While they are apart, I clean and paint everything. Of course, I do all the req'd PSD maintenance and some of the common mods. Most are pre-sold and some get custom veggie conversions and/or upgrades like injectors, turbos, etc.

Anyway, I miss y'all and hope to see many of you at RRE in a few weeks!!!

Here's some pics of the latest project. I admit I am pretty infatuated with it, but I have not had inappropriate relations with it - yet!! We always sell trucks 'factory stock' unless a customer wants upgrades and specifically remove lifts and big tires - but I knew this blue truck was gonna look GOOD up in the air.

Engine:

Just about to set the new cab on it:

And there it is! The blue bed is mint. Sure is gonna be a purty truck!!!

I'll get some more pics when it gets together. I kinda hope I don't find a buyer before RRE - I'd love to bring it up there!

Chris, I soooo need some help! I even recruited my brother who basically hates wrenchin' (he's a great carpenter!), because I haven't found anybody yet... There is some entertainment value in listening to him bitch about everything that's a PITA, but I'm sure he will tire of it before I do. Meanwhile, I've tried a few young guys and they are so distracted by whatever the ##@& they are doing on the phone all day they can't remember how to put something together THEY took apart!

I tried to talk Frank into moving here, but I guess he has bigger plans than the funnest job I can think of... Maybe where he's going the local girls have more teeth or something?

It was a sweaty 84* today and the locals went on and on about how miserably hot it was. I however, know the TRUTH!! Its 9PM now and 70* outside/75* in the house. It'll be low 60's outside tonite and if I forget to turn the fan off I will get cold!! We have not run A/C in the house for 3 years.

Lol, I used to do that when I lived in Fla - but I've really gotten used to my $50-60/month electric bills and I get irritated if the temp outside is cooler than inside when I get up in the morning. Trust me, I am not gonna work all day - then lay in bed and sweat at nite!! Not sure what %Rh is, but guessing its also lower than where you are... THAT is what'll get me to turn the A/C on!! 'Muggy' sucks!

The truth is, if I was in the house during the day I'd probably run A/C. But, the boys and I are OUTSIDE until nearly dark every day and by then its cool enough not to want it. The fan in my window was blowing cooler than your A/C was set at by the time I went to bed last nite!!

The shop doors face east and most of the west wall of the building is shaded by trees, so most days its not even really hot in the shop. We have some big fans we move around and as long as you've got some air moving across ya - its not bad at all. After 30yrs in sweaty Fla and working thru the summer in places like Houston, Tulsa, Wichita, St. Louis and even in the northeast - I am fully aware of what miserable is all about!!!!

Let me talk to the Wife...
Might be able to work something out.
There is a tattoo shop in Atlanta she does guest spots for, so mayhap some extended visits are in order.
