REV Sensor 4.2 Ltr

It uses a Bosch VE pump, so it should be mounted to the pump - and it is typically mounted on the side on pumps I've seen in the past.
As for changing one or buying one, I haven't done it.
Those pumps are used on almost all mechanical injection diesels, so any diesel shop should be able to help you with parts.

Hi All,
Parts for the 4.2 apart from Ford are near impossible to source in my experience though i have been able to get an alternator (US ford school bus G3 90amp ebay), belt tensioner & idler (Dayco) Filters(Mann). There is a MWM rep in Sydney but he specializes in marine donks & won't touch the Sprints.
Woe betide us if we ever need rings bearings pistons etc.
Does anyone know a friendly reliable Brazillian??

On the parts front, the Ford Dealership should be able to help, they have a policy of supporting vehicles with parts up to 10 years after selling them - however, naturally it will have a price premium.
For a Brazillian contact, this is place that specialises in these Motors, both from a service but also performance standpoint:
..:: Rasch Motoren - Diesel Performance ::..
(don't expect them to speak anything but Portugese however..)
A 2.8l 4cyl version of the 4.2 was sold extensively throughout Europe, so if you are after an English speaking source of parts, these people might be able to help.
Contact Us, Farymann Spare Parts, Ruggerini Engine, Dieselpower.co.uk |
Hope that helps.
