Vin help
My vin is not punched in the frame very well and I need a little help decifering it.
It appears to read ICC-28I746 between two stars, I am not sure if the I's are 1's or I's.. The truck was sold to me as a 47..
Build thread coming soon I ordered the mustang two today and a four link for the rear, thanks for any help

Early Ford Serial Numbers For Cars and Trucks Manufactured for the USA Market from 1932 to 1953

You might try asking on the Ford Barn.
I wonder if the "ICC" designates a Canadian truck?
Looking back at VanPelts site, pretty sure it's "1CC" or "1GC"...as the fist C appears to be different than the 2nd one...remember, these were stamped by hand...all comes down to how well the person held the stamp.

I think I have your Serial number figured out..
the "1" indicates it originally had a 6 cyl
The first C is 1/2 ton pickup (or commercial-depending on info you read)
the 2nd C designates Canadian, although there seems to be speculation it could be Commonwealth, as the same (last) C was also used on Fords sent over seas.

Not Canadian, that first C should be a G, the C stood for Commercial. My 46 is also a 1GC, in fact my truck is actually about 1100 higher than yours. That was the prefix for US 46 1/2 ton 6 cylinders, G standing for the G series 90 HP 6 cylinder.
Your number breaks down as
1G= 46 G series 6 cylinder
C= 1/2 Commercial
281746= individual number built of that series built
