way to go Penn Dick... I''ll start bu saying... it ain't big enough... but you know that already. I know you're giddy with all th space this adds. But you better put the lift in now... there won't be room for it in two weeks !!!
I'm envious... I'm packed out in my 25x25 as is the 12x16 back building and the 10x16 portable building... if I can get my truck back together soon it will free up a lot of floor space...
enjoy it and post some progress pics of the new notgaragemahal.
later
John
BTW I saw were Fenders posted a pic of his Mustang at the track... wheels all smoking... or it could have been on fire... I miss Dewayne on here.

Looks like a great place that you have! Congrats on making a new space.
Not big enough is what I live with, 58 x 22. Of course I also have my cabinet shop in it but much of the work that I do is on site so I do have some room for the two trucks. My other problem is that it isn't tall enough for a lift.

The move
I Forgot to take pics of the garage when it was full - This one is when it only had the compressor and a drill press head left to be moved - Just waiting for the contractor and is forkift,
The compressor and the drill press head
This is where all the STUFF went
Doesnt look like much at first glance
The black line is the half way mark for loading
This is a closer look
In there I have identified parts for 8 different vehicles from 1940 to about 1973

Dick,
When I moved from my rental shop to my new shop in '08 it was amazing how much stuff I had. I actually had more truck stuff than business stuff. I'd buy something for a project and put it on a shelf. Man, it does add up.
Can't wait to see the new shop start to go up.

Everyone is invited - Tickets $25.00 - Bring your own food and drinks - Be prepared to work

Well time for another update - My contractor had work for some of his guys to do so they quit - They had taken the roofing off a house and left the site, then called him and said his tools were in a pile at the side of the house and they didn't pick up the roofing and put it in the dumpster - There went the crew that was working on my garage getting it ready to move - His brother and dad showed up about 6PM and started cutting the tiedown bolts and putting up bracing - They started moving it and got it it a few feet when I made them quit - It was 10:30 at nite and you couldn't see squat even with two trucks with their lights on.
Yesterday - the contractor showed up alone and started getting ready to move by himself - I told him to wait until I got dressed then the two of us went at it - I worked from 8AM until Noon then from 2PM until 6:30 - I hurt bad when I was done - We had the building started up onto the pad.
We hit it again about 9:30 this morning worked till noon I ate some lunch and took my meds - By 3:19PM we had the garage up on the pad with only squaring up left
I crashed for a few hrs then mowed the front part of the yard.
That has been the hardest and longest I've worked since 2003 - The old body has gone into rebellion but I now have a part of me invested in the building and I got the first blood on the floor

Wow, sorry to hear that the workers just up and quit. Sounds like you are working yourself too hard - I know and have been there. We are supposed to get wiser with age but I'm not so sure it is working with me.
Take it easy and good luck with the project, I hope it gets done without anyone getting hurt or worn out completely...

My contractor lost his crew and had to try to finish my house by himself, and ultimately ended up in jail and not finishing my house, yet took all my money. Been recovering ever since. This year, I finally got myself back to where I can start working on projects again at a steady pace. But of course, now my garage needs work. It's such a vicious cycle, lol.
Glad you're back to sitting around!
