Rear-mounted, swing-away, spare tire carrier...

So, I've been hunting around the internet for one for a while now, but just can't seem to find one that will fit and work the way I need it to. It needs to be able to, at a minimum, carry my 38x13.5 spare, in addition to being able to swing out of the way (left or right) to access the tailgate and the bed of the truck as well as still allow me to tow my travel trailer at 10k#. Ideally, it would also be able to handle a hi-lift and possibly a gas can or two. I really like the tiregate hg products, but going with one of those, eliminates the possibility of towing the trailer. Does anyone have any experience with a setup like this? Thanx in advance.

What you're wanting I don't believe exists in the full size market. They make them for jeeps, but I'm not sure if there would be a cross over. Possibly a bronco bumper but would require some fabrication...

Dang! I was hoping to avoid a custom job, but I was afraid that was the way I was going to have to go. Thanx.

Look at jeep companies and see if they sell just the swinging tire mount. It might be possible to but the arm and mount it to a full size plate bumper like road armor or fusion easily.

Only pit fall I see is jeep tailgates swing out to the side where as the bronco drops like a regular pickup.

Yeah, definitely want a swing-away model as opposed to a drop-down model. Thanx.

How about a combination of the TireGate and a Titan dual receiver: Trailer Hitch by TorkLift for 2006 F-250 and F-350 Super Duty - TLF1002M

Dude...that super hitch is awesome! However, I have a really hard time justifying over $1,500.00 to hold my spare tire...and I'm quite certain the Mrs. would as well.

Take a look at Body Armor Bumpers. They have a rear bumper that allows the addition of a swing out tire carrier. I've been contemplating this setup as well.

Here is what the tire carrier looks like, you'll have to scroll down a bit to find it

Blue Lake Off Road also has a rear bumper with a swing away spare tire option. A Google search turned up many more.

Hmm...looks like I'm not going to get away with this for less than a grand, so I think I'll just go with a in-bed-mounted solution and spend the money on the steps I need to please the Mrs. Thanx, guyz!
