Searching for info on scratch-built boxes

I've searched high and low using the search function but can't seem to find a thread I ran across here on a guy building a truck using someone else's (a friend's) money. He is some sort of an aviation mechanic (helicopters in the back ground of some of his pics). The truck is really tricked out nicely and he built the box of sheet metal. What I'm really after is what gauge metal people would advise as a good one to use for the sides, front, bottom. A friend has 37 Plymouth truck with no bed. Thanks in advance!

Dang, my CRS is setting in again after being in remission for maybe a week. I was thinking this was the thread that showed a box being built (I am mistaken). Thanks for this link though Mike, that is QUITE the build!

I built mine. Check the link below to Garage Journal.

Also mt54 built his

And ulev1st is working on his.

And I'm thinking that 48 Steel built his. I know he has modified virtually every panel on his truck.
