Truck won't Start

ocumentProperties> </xml><![endif]--> I have a 1988 f250 inline 6 cylinder. While driving, it shuttered to a stop, I got it going a couple of times for shorter and shorter periods of running times, and then it wouldn’t restart. I changed the plugs, leads, cap, and rotor. It started right up and ran for about 10minutes, then it stopped running the same way as before. So I changed the PCV and fuel filter. I also looked at as many vacuum connections as I could find and they seemed okay. It won’t restart, but seems like it almost does.

Is the check engine light on? If so, did you pull any codes from it? How did the old plugs look when you pulled them out?

No engine light, no way to check codes. The plugs looked used but not too bad.

Sounds like your fuel pump died. Borrow or buy a fuel pressure tester and check it out.

Sounds like the fuel pump is spinning, will have to wait to get pressure tester.

While you are waiting to beg/borrow/steal a fuel pressure tester pull a spark plug, ground the electrode then have someone turn the ignition key. Verify you have spark.
