Working on the rear brakes and putting everything back together and notice the rear brake hose is to short. Has anyone else run into this problem. I order a new one with all my hardware kits from napa and the hose is the only wrong.

 

I haven't seen that issue before, have you had them run the number's for a 79 line and see its length? I am pretty sure all the threaded brake line connections are the same size for 73-79 at least?

But you never know with Ford. Worst case get a rear steel braided longer one (for a lifted truck) from Skyjacker, Summit or Jegs. Or if you have a local shop that can make them, go that even cheaper route.

 

I ran into this issue on my '75 crew. Ended up going with an extended length hose from JBG that worked well.
