brakes and power booster questions

getting ready to start on switching the axles over from the 79 one ton i bought to scrap out to my 78 250. was wondering the master cylinder and booster from the one ton be worth switching over also? also thinking of hydro boost. just trying to keep it simple. would the one ton stuff be worth swaping or will the 3/4 ton stuff work good with the different axles?

Either works fine. Hydro will have more braking power but is a bit more involved to swap over. F350 booster set up also works good....smaller booster for valve cover clearance but a will be longer than your original setup. The length didn't bother me any.

If what you have works good then I'd leave it unless you just havta upgrade.

Hey, I remembered that I tried the F350 booster on the original 79 firewall bracket and it pointed at the sky. I found one that straightened it out but have no idea what truck the bracket came from. Just some spares I had in my garage.

Not necessarily. When I did this on my other truck, I found that you need the same years, other wise the pedal, push rod, etc aren't right. Take time and compare everything. On my crew, I ordered the 350 stuff for the same year and it bolted right up.
