97 F350 E4OD to ZF conversion

Ladies and Gents,
I've researched this site and a few others on this conversion but have some questions on this still. I will apologize in advance for such a long post.

BACKGROUND INFO :
- My truck is a 97 F350 XL 460 AT 4x4 SRW manual transfer case, desmogged
- Great friend of mine has a 97 F350 XL 460 MT, 4x4, DRW manual transfer
- Same great friend is getting a parts/ donor truck EXACTLY like the one he already has (so it's a 97 F350 XL 460 MT, 4x4, DRW manual transfer)

I have the oppurtunity to put my truck next to his donor/ parts truck and swap my E4OD with the ZF from the donor.
So far I know I'll need the following from the donor truck:
- Trans and bellhousing
- Trans mounts
- Pedal assy
- Clutch master cyl
- Trans tunnel
- Trans ECU (don't understand how there's an ECU on a manual but OK)

This is about the best scenario one could possibly come across for this swap, yet I'm still tentative. The electronics are what worry me the most.

QUESTIONS:
1. Will I need to modify my driveshaft lengths? (I've read yes and no. I have a 100% brand new rear driveshaft now - please tell me I can use this)
2. Where is the AT ECU located?
3. Is there infact a MT ECU?
4. Can I unplug the AT ECU and plug MT ECU directly into same spot?
5. Can I get rid of the PRND21 and the AT shift lever without changing the entire steering column?
6. Can I use my transfer case or do I need the one from the MT?
7. Is the trans tunnel bolt on kinda like the "hump plate" in the 73-79 trucks?
8. How do you get reverse lights working? On 73-79's there was a reverse light switch/ sensor screwed into the top of trans. Is ZF same way and does MT ECU take care of this?

WHAT I THINK I KNOW (feel free to correct me):
9. I have a brand new set of Gibson headers still in the box - don't think they'll work with the MT - DANGIT!
10. Firewalls all have provision for clutch master cyl
11. Even with the MT flywheel I can still use my existing starter

Ideally I'd like it to look like it always came with a MT - a clean conversion if you will. I'd like to avoid CEL's being on all the time because the computer isn't getting some random signal from the AT ECU (or things like that)

Bonus - the parts from the donor truck I'm sure he would treat me EXTREMELY GOOD on. Really all he wants is the motor so I could get driveshafts, steering column and any other parts I need.

Again, I have researched this a bit, but not confident enough to say "YEP, we're doing it!!" so please please please let me know your thoughts here if you could.

I'm looking at the donor truck this weekend so if there's anything I should check out ahead of time, let me know.
