HOW ARE AFTERMARKET TELESCOPING MIRRORS FOR 02?

I want to get the heated telescoping mirrors you see on ebay or other sites. I want turn signal, power and heat. I already have power. How are the aftermarkets made. They look great and well built but I don't have them in my hand. Any suggestions?

Several super duty and excursion members have purchased from 1Aauto a site vendor/sponsor with great results. AFAIK they are plug and play for 02+ using 08+ style. Superduty Service is also selling these mirrors. Search mirror swap and several threads should come up.

yep, all 2002-2008 models are plug 'n play with a square plug. You will get heat, turn signals, and glass movement.

the 2008 style mirrors are significantly better. the lower convex mirror is the size of most small cars actual side mirrors. then you get the monster upper section. below are pictures of the 2002 vs. 2008 style

1999-2003 trucks didn't have the wiring for running lights. if you want running lights, you will have to run a wire through the doors to the mirrors. it's pretty easy

I have the A1Auto mirrors. They are OEM quality IMO. I had the normal factory 2002 style mirrors, and upgraded to the 2008 style. I paid around $360 shipped for them. Came with smoked lenses and 2 upper caps. A black one and a chrome one. Been installed for several months with no issues and nothing but a happy customer.

Very nice! I thought they were both more expensive and more work to install...

Anybody wanna buy some 04 mirrors?

I had my '05 paddles upgraded last weekend at a 6.0 gathering at SDS in Grain Valley. Took Anthony and toreador diesel 15 mins to install them on my ex. They also installed them on Maxium4x4's 2003 SD in 15 mins too.

They are awesome! Took a bit to get use to how BIG cars appear behind me now.

Sent from my Sprint PC36100 using IB AutoGroup

I have a question. If they work with a 2002, shouldn't they work with a 2001? or is there something that changed from '01 to '02 that is not apparent? Thanks, ~ Bugjr ~

The plugs in the doors changed in 02+ which is the same until current. I don't know for sure but I believe the 99-01 require an adapter.

I have never heard of anyone regretting this upgrade. Those paint to match caps make the mirrors look like they belong on the truck.

Did you need them for an 01 Excursion? We do carry them for that year. Here's a link to them. 2001 Ford Excursion Side View Mirror | 2001 Ford Excursion Replacement Passenger & Driver Side Mirrors | Aftermarket 2001 Ford Excursion Side Rear View Mirrors At 1A Auto

Have adaptors for a 99? Much extra $? The shroud on my stock mirror is cracked, sounds like a good excuse to upgrade

What features do your mirrors currently have, and what is the make and model of the vehicle.

Thanks,
Tony
