October, already?

Anyhow, it's that time of year when we see the spooky and creepy make an appearance (that's at the end of the month and we're not talking about my birthday... ), pumpkins appear just about on every corner, and plans start getting made for fall and winter projects among other things.

Also, it's that time of year where particular attention is paid to the color pink. Perhaps some of you saw this picture from my trip to the 4-Wheel Jamboree in Indy a couple weeks ago:



Pink is significant because it's the color most commonly associated with breast cancer research/awareness. It's a cause close to me because it's what my mom died from. Two of the three trucks in my fleet (the Bull and the tOwBS) wear these bandanas now. So, I guess while we're a predominantly male crowd in the chapter threads, it is something to be mindful of because some woman who means something to us could end up dealing with this...and it's a reason I continue to support research, personally.

Anyhow, my PSA's and stuff aside, you know what to do.

Morning Jim, Bill. Pretty soggy here, we've had over an inch of rain since yesterday afternoon.

 

Not nearly that much rain here Pat, though it did rain. I guess points south got a bit more than we did - which was really just a passing shower. Definitely not enough to get me excited about cutting the grass, but I guess I should trim it up tonight if the weather holds.

 

Mine is going to be pretty long by the time I get around to cutting it, which wont' be until this weekend.

Big game this weekend, Nebraska and Michigan State. Time to see what the Huskers are made of!

 

That should be a real test for them. I forget who OU has this weekend...they had a bye week last weekend. Texas I think is on the 11th or 18th...can't recall off hand.

 

TCU this weekend. Nebraska is off next weekend, after MSU. If they can get by them, they should be able to go into Nov. undefeated. But, I don't know if they can beat MSU, they look pretty damn good!

 

Oh, Red River War is on the 11th.

 

I just looked it up...yeah, I'm hoping to actually WATCH the Red River game this year...doesn't happen too often. I think OU's biggest game this year will actually be Baylor - they're looking pretty good.

 

Yeah, Texas sucks this year. That certainly doesn't break my heart!!LOL
