I'm gonna buy this critter as soon as I know exactly what to buy. The more I read, the more confused I become. As I see it, I need the base scan tool at $250 (AE) and the Total Ford Enhanced Bundle at $360 (RiffRaff). Am I right?
I'm pretty sure all you need is the Ford Total Enhanced bundle, but since you're going to order it from Clay, you might want to call him and just make sure.
Yes... the $360 Ford bundle is the AE software plus the Ford enhanced features. That's what I got from Riffraff. You will be able to read all Fords from 1996 to present.
Do you know what "fuel use input" means? I received that with a 71 yellow line. I have the base version of AE. It's not helping with explanations. I received info about your having a AE university available. How does that work? Again thanks. Thanks
If you have the base unit, most of the "magic" in AE is gone. You'll be able to scan codes and clear them, but very few useful sensors are available - and there are no diesel tests. Here is the class: [LINK]
