YES... We Are Proud New Excursion Owners!

Well, its final! Kinda, lol. Just signed the dotted line and paid the money, so we are now the proud new owners of a 2001 7.3L Excursion Limited with 4x4 and 113k miles. The truck has to weather a 3.5 hour drive back home, nothing like jumping right into it lol. My husband is a diesel tech, he says its a beautiful truck. Owner wouldnt budge on his asking price, but not very surprised about that. Now just to get her home, and get some tags/plates on her! My six months of patience and countless hours on craigslist have paid off!

Also not 1 spot of rust, shes originally from Kentucky!!!

thanks everyone I stayed home with the kids, so I wont get to lay eyes on it for myself til after dark. However, I promise everyone, pics tomorrow! That is if my husband doesnt decide to take it into work with him...which wouldnt surprise me! To think, I had given up on an excursion, and just happened to run across this one.

Welcome to the club!! Finally got your eX. I remember your post some time ago wanting one in the worst way. "Tax time" or something lol.
Well enjoy it, you can't go wrong with a 7.3.
Looking forward to some snapshots, bikini's optional of coarse.

I promise some pics by this afternoon. Cant say i will be much help here to other excursion owners as this is new to me, but i bet theres going to be alot of questions asked from me. I had a chance to look over the truck late last night. All manuals and paperwork are original to the truck, original floormats, spare tire cover. The owner actually started crying when they signed the title over and told the truck goodbye....thats a new one for me.

It needs new front brakes, however the owner had already purchased all the new parts, and placed them in the rear of the truck. The VCR player is broken...so at some point we will have to conquer that. My husband took it to work today, so im impatiently waiting to see it in the daylight when he comes back.

Congratulations on the new truck, so far mine has been one of the greatest investments in vehicles that I have made. Hopefully it will be the same for you.

Didn't you say in your other thread that it was $10,000 and 112k miles? If I sell my 7.3 for that price, I would cry too. I think you got an excellent deal. I don't think you will ever find another deal like it.

After all the wait, you finally got a nice one. Congratulation, you will love it.
