Welcome to FTE, mebliss.

It's hard to diagnose with that limited information. To start with, I would have the truck scanned for error codes.

Does it have gas? Is the pump working? With the key on, push the shrader valve on the injector rail. Does fuel come spraying out? Be careful here.

OK, we've hit one of my buttons here.

I don't mean to call anyone out here, but anyone who tells you to replace a part without doing any testing is not doing you any favors. Don't waste your money throwing parts at the truck, hoping maybe you'll solve the issue by accident. Get your truck to a local auto parts store that does free vehicle scanning and ask them to pull your eror codes.

Without codes replacing parts is a waste. My first step would be make sure your fuses and relays are good. Also most parts stores rent fuel pressure test kits which will point you/us in the right directon.

Did your CEL come on before the truck died or did it just shut off with no warning? And definitely take the advice of getting it checked before replacing any parts. Just turning your lights on or trying to start it would tell you if your battery was dead instead of throwing $100 at it.

thanks much

I wont buy parts without codes being read .battery is new/ good.dont remember if cel came on or not...thanks for tip on checking fuel pressure. Truck has always run perfectly, was doing about 35 mph and it acted like a car running out of gas.had 1/2 tank....I just thought someone knew if these fuel pumps were known for going out at about that mileage...i ll try schrader valve thing and buy a code reader in next few days..go from there..thanks again to everyone for your time and help...out

Save your money on the code reader. Advance and auto zone will check them for free.

Just a stab in the dark but does this year superduty have a chip key. Won't cost anything to try and start it with your second key just in case. Just a thought you never know.

Read codes, scanner said " no codes stored" ,no help there.fuses and relays good, switched fuel pump relay with another identical one ,no help.did schrader valve thing got a dribble ,maybe 2 tbs..no great spurt of fuel.definitely not 50 lbs of pressure, maybe 5- 10 lbs pressure.....don't hear fuel pump when key is turned on....i'm guessing "fuel pump"...will update

If it ends up being the fuel pump, it is much easier to lift the bed than to drop the tank.
