air bag shorting bar

air bag shorting bar
Have 1996 xlt explorer with air bag light on. dash light flashes 52. scan tool showed two B codes, short to ground.
I am needing a picture of the "so-called" shorting bar that is in the black connector at the air bag module. Need to test resistance on the wires.
Not worried about air bag deployment. They are in the backseat.
Pulled the srs module, but see no plastic shorting bar in there.

The lamp fault code 52 designates "Lost battery feed or low battery feed voltage." Have you checked the battery voltage at the battery and at the SRS module to see if that's the issue? There are several "B" codes for the SRS system, which two did you have?
Looking at the schematics for the airbag system, the shorting bars are something the technician would install for diagnostic purposes, not something that would be part of the system during normal operation. If I know what B codes you are trying to diagnose, I can get a better idea what the shorting bars are.

FWIW, my 94 Bronco had an airbag problem where it was flashing code 52. I replaced the airbag computer module and that fixed it. There is a backup power supply in it that allows the airbags to deploy even with the battery disconnected. Apparently my backup power supply wasn't working and set the code.

I don't remember the codes exactly. I am in the Army in WA. and of course my tools are all in St Louis, so I have to rely on Orielly's scan tools that are nearby. I know for sure one code (I think both) were short to grounds. Hence the reason I am wanting to check continuity on the wires.
