Loss of power when pulling trailer in my 1993 gas F250

My truck just started losing power when pull our 20 stock trailer. Did it for the 1st time a few days ago. Drives fine without trailer. What is happening. Is this "limp mode"?

The harder you pull, the more air and fuel you need in and the more exhaust you need out. A new fuel filter and a new air filter definitely won't hurt anything. You could check fuel pressure to see if the fuel filter is getting restricted. Check the timing and pull codes next and let us know what happens.

We're going to need a whole bunch more info than that.

Which gas engine? Which transmission?

Is the check engine light (MIL) on? Even if it's not on, have you checked for any stored codes? How fast were you going or trying to go? How heavy is the trailer?

Thanks for the responses. Figured out that my fuel pump in my front tank has 15lbs less pressure than bank tank, so I guess my pump is going out. Going to back tank for now until I get front pump replaced.

I would also recommend this too, little more power so could give you a little more juice for pulling.
