And that's just cruising around? I didnt realize this till now but when I put the t-stat in, I put the o-ring in first then t-stat and then t-stat housing. Then looked at my old water pump and the t-stat was in first then o ring. Should I switch them so its like it is on the old water pump?

I would put it back with the square cut o-ring on top of the thermostat.

I'm also between 208-215 EOT on the highway. I'm surprised you aren't getting leaks with the gasket situated like that. I would put it on top as well.

I took mine out because I was seeing 220-230 while towing 10k in 60-70* temps. That won't work for summer towing. I went back to stock 195* and don't see any different eot while cruising, but I haven't towed yet.

You're fine, I'm just surprised is all. Especially with as finicky as the thermostat/housing can be with leaking.

I haven't towed with the 203 yet, but I'll probably come to the same conclusion and spring for the 195. The short stem 203 was just most readily available when I did my T444E pump.

I put some rtv around the housing that's for water pumps and related items. I also torqued it to spec so I imagine its gonna be fine. I typically don't tow much so I don't have to worry about that part.

I barely saw EOT's that high in 90-100° summers with my Dieselsite 203° stat. Mine usually peaked around 200° at those cooler temps.
