64 f100 door hinge pin

Hello all,

So sooner rather than later I will be trying to replace the pin on my 64 f100 driver door hinge.

This will be my first time doing this.

Does any know of a relatively easy way of doing this or doing it in general?

Pictures would be appreciate. Lol

Thanks

I recommend just finding a hinge on a salvage yard truck and replace the whole thing; 61-66 model just make sure its from the same side.

Mitch, 1961/63 door hinges are different. There are two types for 1964, early and late.

The late 1964 hinges are the same as 1965/66. Since the OP has a 1964:

1964 F100/1100 before serial number 490,001:

C4TZ-8122800-A .. Right Upper & Right Lower Door Hinge-Reverse Hinge Pin to use for Left Upper & Lower / Obsolete
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1964 F100/1100 from serial number 490,001 & 1965/66 F100/1100:

C4TZ-8122800-A .. Right Lower Door Hinge-Reverse Hinge Pin to use for Left Lower / Obsolete

C4TZ-8122800-B .. Right Upper Door Hinge-Includes Check / Obsolete

C4TZ-8122801-B .. Left Upper Door Hinge-Includes Check / Obsolete

If the door is opened while the truck is parked on a slope, the check prevents the door from swinging closed by itself.

btw ~ 1964/66 F100/1100: Ford did not sell the hinge pin, the entire hinge had to be replaced.

Believe there are no salvage yard in northwest Indiana with that year truck.

That's why I just ordered the pin.

Problem is that I have never change one before.
