Propane and new ideas...sort of.
Hey guys, I have kicked the idea around before about propane on the 400 I am building(9.8:1 compression alum. headed blah blah blah). Friend of mine runs one of his 2wd rangers on it and loves it, running a industrial 2.3 works well for him.
Mine currently is set up to run my destroyed to work on a windsor 351 truck lower and a 5.0 truck upper. with the 351m/400 to 351w intake adapters. So yes I plan on running it on EFI but the truck won't ever see snow again unless something is buried and I have to fire it up. I want to say this thing with the set up will be 400 little north of that HP if I remember right the 425 mixing hat is about that.
The crazy idea, I have considered buying a edelbrock dual quad 351w intake modify it so I can use it on my 400. use dual 65mm Throttle bodies then a set of impco 300s that would go above them enclose them in a intake system and just be able to switch the injectors off so I can run it on propane being prices around here are not bad. What do you guys think? crazy?
Thank you,
Curtis
