Air ride rear suspension

I am looking for an air ride rear suspension for a 1989 F800.

I would like to find a suspension that I can install without moving the crossmember that the front spring hangers bolt to. It would also be great if I did not have to redrill the frame or could reuse the front spring hanger brackets.

Not sure you will find an air ride front bracket that will interchange with the holes from a spring hanger.

You would be better off going to the junk yard and buying an air ride cut off. I would get a cut off from a late 80's or early 90's Ford with the Hendrickson air ride suspension. Then figure out long a wheel base you want and cut you frame off accordingly and weld it on if you are good at that. If not find a competent welder to do it for you. I changed out the four spring suspension on my LTL for an air ride suspension and it has worked out very well. Keep in mind that when you stretch your wheel base that you will have to probably convert to a two piece drive shaft.

Not gonna happen finding one to work with Ford brackets.
It not hard to swap one over. I did my F700 with a 94 Freightliner Axle
Freightliner calls it the "Air Liner" Suspension.
It is one of the most commonly used air ride suspensions out there.
I bought a cut off for $125. Brakes were exactly the same size as my old ones.
16.5 X 7 air brakes. You can take the frame rails and use them as a template for drilling you stock Ford frame rails. Hole saw bit work great for this. You just need to remove the pilot bit. The holes are mostly 5/8ths with the front bracket holes 3/4 ( 6 each side)
Here is the suspension. You will want the rear axle from a tandem if you can't find a single axle.

These air liners are under almost everything. Many late model Freightliner Trucks (going back as far as 93 that i know of) and school buses have them, as well as Sterlings.

Be sure and take a good measurement on the width of your frame rails before buying the Freightliner cut off. Freightliner uses a narrower frame rail spacing than Ford does. The spacing may have been OK on Bronco mans 700, but the larger trucks like my LTL and even my 67 N series truck have the wider industry standard frame rail spacing. I know on the earlier Fords the 800's had the same spacing as the larger trucks. I used a cut off from a 95 International on my 67 N-950 and a Ford/Hendrickson from a 92 Aeromax on my 86 LTL.
